The short version
URL Valet cleans your links entirely inside your own browser. We do not send your links to any server, and we do not store, log, or share them. There is no account to create and no personal profile to build.
The links you clean
When you paste a URL into URL Valet, all processing happens on your device using JavaScript in your browser. The link you paste is never transmitted to us. When you close or refresh the page, it is gone.
Advertising
This site is supported by advertising provided by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages are popular. This measures traffic in aggregate and is not used to identify individuals.
The Chrome extension
Our Chrome extension cleans links locally as well. It requests only the minimum permissions needed to do its job — activeTab, clipboardWrite, and contextMenus. It does not read your browsing history, collect personal data, or send your links anywhere.
Children's privacy
This service is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
